Dollie passed away unexpectedly the morning of April 25, 2023. She took a turn for the worse nearly a week after having surgery to remove several non-cancerous tumors from her uterus and bladder.
She was with us for only two short months, but she’ll live on in our hearts as a HappyCavy forever.
We wish we knew you longer, special girl. Please remember us, and know that we love you so much.

While the HappyCavy Blog has been silent for quite some time as the humans have been busy with whatever it is that humans do, we wanted to take a moment to introduce you to the newest member of HappyCavy.
Dollie loves getting exercise. Reaching for mid-day treats is one of the ways she stays active and healthy.

Dollie is a very special kind of cavy known as a ruby-eyed guinea pig due to her gorgeous pink-hued eyes. Dolle came to HappyCavy after her cagemate passed away and her former humans were looking for a new home where she could join a few friends to keep her company.
Dollie Meets the HappyCavies
Dollie joined our home on February 15, 2023, and after a 2 week quarantine, she was introduced to JuneBug and Baby Roo. After the three pigs dispensed with the usual dominance dance and butt-sniffing, things looked up for little Dollie. In fact, she got along so well in the first hour that it became clear the three would be friends for life.
