Help Baby Roo win the Heart of Gold title in the 2024 Pet Pageant by Willamette Week! Cast your vote for Baby Roo by Feb. 26 to help her clinch the title.
What’s This Pet Pageant About?
Willamette Week is an alternative weekly newspaper in Portland, Oregon, and each year they present a virtual pageant where humans get to vote for their favorite pets in various categories. The pet that gets the most votes overall is featured on the annual cover page of the pet issue. Exciting!
About Baby Roo’s Nomination
Baby Roo’s nomination features one of the humans’ favorite (and silliest) nicknames for her — World’s Tiniest Baby. (She earned this nickname because she was teensy tiny, baby-sized for many years.) We think Baby Roo deserves to win this year’s Heart of Gold title thanks to how quickly she welcomed Annie into the HappyCavy Forever Home. Baby Roo has been such a good big sister to Annie, patiently playing with her for hours a day, finding Annie when it’s time for treats and indulging Annie in all her young-pig shenanigans — even when Baby Roo might prefer a nap instead.
Vote for Baby Roo by Feb. 26
If Baby Roo wins the most votes for her category, she’ll be featured in the upcoming pets issue of Willamette Week and seen by thousands of readers across the city and online. Plus, she’ll have the bragging rights of having beat all the cats and dogs vying for the Heart of Gold title.
Your vote for Baby Roo is a vote for new guinea pig friendships!
What could be better than that?
