Domestic guinea pigs are scientifically known as Cavia porcellus [source]
Dollie passed away unexpectedly the morning of April 25, 2023. She took a turn for the worse nearly a week after having surgery to remove several non-cancerous tumors from her uterus and bladder.
She was with us for only two short months, but she’ll live on in our hearts as a HappyCavy forever.
We wish we knew you longer, special girl. Please remember us, and know that we love you so much.

My Friends: Baby Roo, JuneBug
Dollie the guinea pig was adopted on Wednesday, February 15, 2023. Dolle came to HappyCavy after having lost a cagemate when staying with her previous human. She was looking for a good home with new friends to keep her company.
Dolle is an outgoing girl and makes friends easily. She’s also a very special kind of cavy that some people call a ruby-eyed guinea pig due to her beautiful pinkish-hued eyes.
Dollie’s a talker — she loves to make guinea pig noises all day long with purrs, wheeks and whistles that let her humans know when she’s happy or looking for a special treat. And she loves running up to her humans when they enter the room. Dollie just wants your attention and doesn’t care who knows it!
Dollie is a great balance to Baby Roo and JuneBug’s shyness.
