The Humans wanted to order custom plushies for the HappyCavies guinea pigs for quite some time.

Marumoto, a talented crafter named Naomi, makes these adorable and incredibly life-like guinea pig plushies from her home in Northwest Oregon.

Besides making guinea pig plushies, Marumoto also specializes in mouse, rat, and other small animals. At about $35 each, each custom plushie is expertly designed based on the photos and descriptions you sent directly to Marumoto.

Bitsy’s plushie took several months to complete, however, Marumoto ran into some technical difficulties (read: broken sewing machine) which took her longer to produce the custom stuff doll than usual.

Using soft acylic faux fur, Marumo did an exceptional job getting the plushie to resemble Bitsy, down to Bitsy’s fluffy head fuzz and adorable pink nose. The best part is that when Bitsy arrived, she came with a plushie version of her favorite treat: a cucumber. What a special and unexpected gift!
