Guinea Pig Doctor

As you have probably noticed, things have been really, really quiet around here lately. In fact, just yesterday a reader pointed out that the last HappyCavy post was over a month ago. Yikes!

For our absence, we’re sorry!

But there’s a really good reason, we promise.

You see, several weeks ago Human 1 left for a much-needed vacation to spend the Thanksgiving holiday with family in Florida. Human #1 hasn’t seen family for the holidays in over 10 years, and it was a great chance to get some down-time and enjoy the company of Human #1’s relatives.

Meanwhile, since Human #1 was in Florida, Human #2 stayed behind to look after the HappyCavy Herd, at which he did an excellent job.

Human #1 returned from Florida several days ago and, after getting sick from the long flight back to Oregon, things are finally getting back to normal.

Guinea pigs are once again getting weighed regularly, snacks are being distributed with expected frequency, and cuddles and kisses have all returned to their regular schedules.

Posts will continue to be published each week to The Guinea Pig Blog, and we look forward to spending the upcoming holiday season sharing our stories and lives with you through the blog, Facebook, and Twitter.

Thanks for continuing to check in during our absence! Here’s to a great rest of 2012!
