More About Annie: Where I Live, What I Eat
My Friends: JuneBug, Baby Roo
Annie the guinea pig was adopted by HappyCavy on Sunday, December 17, 2023, from the Oregon Humane Society. Annie was just a baby at eleven weeks old(!) when she arrived to her forever home with us.
We don’t know much about Annie’s life before she joined HappyCavy, except that she was originally available for adoption with her two sisters at the Humane Society for Southwest Washington. After the HappyCavy Humans saw that Annie’s sisters had been adopted without her, they knew that she deserved a loving home where she could make new friends with JuneBug and Baby Roo.
Annie is a spry, energetic pig who enjoys running sprints in the morning, taking naps in the evening and begging the Humans for just about any veggie they’re willing to part with. One of her favorite snacks is pea flakes, and if she thinks she hears the pea flake bag rustling, she’ll wheek and squeak until one of the Humans answers her call.
Since Annie is a young cavy, her adjustment to life at HappyCavy has been relatively easy. She’s already settled into the routines of floor time and daily cuddles. And she’s good at giving her new sisters JuneBug and Baby Roo space as the senior pigs of the house. We hope Annie gets to spend many years with us here.
